Hello and welcome to the website of ALLAN VOS.

This website gives you an overview of his creations for theater, film and events. You can also find the fashionitems that Allan Vos designed on this website.

Allan Vos was born October 3th 1980 in The Hague, The Netherlands.

He studied Styling, Visual Merchandising and Production Design in Amsterdam and Utrecht. In 2002 he started his study Fashion design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague. During that period he worked as an intern for designer Yoshiki Hishinuma in Tokyo Japan. After four years he graduated successfully with a more than theatrical collection called ‘’Magic Circus, Tragic Circus’’. The use of real fur was a bit controversial but many newspapers and magazines loved his creations. Celebrity magazine nominated him for designer of the year 2005.

Already during his last year at the Academy Cirque du Soleil offered him a job at the costumedepartment at the European tour of the show Alegria. After that he wanted to learn more and more about costumes so he started to work for several costume makers. There he was asked to work for magician Hans Klok to work for his show and the Las Vegas show. From then on, life went fast: he worked for the Disney Cruise line in the Bahamas and Florida, The Walt Disney Company USA, Stardust Theater, Riverdance and worked for musicals such as Tarzan, Simone Songs from the heart and Disney SingAlong for the Dutch company Stage Entertainment.

In the summer of 2009 Allan studied at Central Saint Martins in London to learn more about filmcostumes and he now just finished his second film project for the 'Sinterklaas' movies.

Nowdays Allan designes costumes for shows and movies such as Merlijn the musical, Mouse &Co and The Life the musical. He designes redcarpet-gowns for Dutch celebrities and private clients. He designed the celebration of 50 years Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) exhibition and designs costumes, interieurs and decors for special events.

KIM LIAN VAN DER MEIJ IN ALLAN VOS

Musicalactress, singer and presenter Kim Lian van der Meij was wearing a special outfit designed by Allan Vos for the presentation of the new musical Legally Blonde. The outfit was completely pink and covered in Swarovski chrystal. Legally Blonde will premiere on October 10 in Tilburg.

BAGS BY ALLAN VOS

This spring Allan Vos descided to design a special and limited collection of bags. Four bags, made out of leather and several cottons (old and new) that give the bags a costomised look. All to see in the fashion-special chapter. Get in contact with Allan to order one of these limited edition bags.

CHANTAL JANZEN IN ALLAN VOS

Sunday April 11 was the premiere for the new musical Mary Poppins. Musicalstar and actress Chantal Janzen was wearing a golden gown by Allan Vos for the occasion. The dress was even called best dress of the evening by TV show Life4you.

GRONINGEN FASHION WEEKEND

Allan was invited to design the outfit that will cover the press-related media for Groningen Fashion Weekend. The outcome was a simple long dress in the shapes and colours of the city of Groningen. Off course it is covered with crystals and a tighted bodice.

Groningen Fashionweekend will take place from 27 - 30 May 2010

ALLAN IN RTL BOULEVARD

Because Allan showed his last minicollection Fashion is Murder after not designing for a long time, TV show RTL Boulevard showed a long interview about Allan and his work.

MARIANA VERKERK IN ALLAN VOS

Runwaycoach Mariana Verkerk famous from Hollands Next Top Model and many other projects was photographed by Sander Nagel in a piece from the new Allan Vos collection; Fashion is Murder. For the shoot Mariana was wearing a red wool coat with shiny leather collar and Swarowski gun on the side.

ALLAN IN CINEMA

For the new familyfilm Sinterklaas en de verdwenen Pakjesboot Allan designed and created costumes for some of the main characters and cameo's.
